Lost in Translation

I’ve been in the Moscow office for a week now, and no one has given me any office supplies. The desk is completely cleaned out. Luckily I brought my own pen. I ask the admin for a notebook. She looked concerned, quickly asked a couple of other people something in Russian, took down my full name and called someone. I thought she was going to ask for my passport number. Now, I know things aren’t always super efficient here, but come on. I just want to take some notes! You try keeping all the Julia’s and Ana’s straight with no notes.

An hour later, I come back from a meeting and there’s a notebook PC on my desk. I now have two computers but still no paper.
